Prostate Disorders

DESCRIPTION

The prostate is the male sex gland positioned beneath the urinary bladder. During ejaculation, muscles in this donut-shaped gland that encircles the urethra squeeze fluids into the urethral tract. Disorders can include enlaragement (benign prostatic hyperplagia) or the acute or chronic inflammation (prostatitis) of the prostate gland.

SIGNS/SYMPTONS

Symptoms of prostatitis include fever, frequent urination accompanied by a burning sensation, blood or pus in the urine, and pain between the scrotum and the rectum. Symptoms of prostate enlargement can include frequent urination during the night, urinary frequency, pain, burning, and difficulty both stopping and starting urination.

CAUSE

Traditional medicine believes that inflammation of the prostate (prostatitis) is usually caused by a bacterial infection or a hormone imbalance. We feel that many blockages develop due to lack of sexual activity. Disorders of the prostate rarely occur before the age of 30 and prostate cancer will usually not occur before the age of 50 but in some cases may occur earlier. Although it appears to be familial (genetic), the exact etiology is unknown.

FOR YOUR GROWTH TREATMENT IDEAS AND GOALS

Traditional medicine believes that treatment of prostatitis and hypertrophy may require antibiotics. Prostate cancer in the more advanced stages may require surgery. We feel that cellular memory blockages can be removed through a Spiritual Plumber session. See www.SpiritualPlumbers.com. Recommendations include prostate examinations every year for men over 40, more sexual activity, dietary changes (including avoiding bad fats), regular exercise, increased hydration, and digestive/immune system support.

**It is important to address the patient’s diet, exercise, and lifestyle on an individual basis and in regard to body type (see Digestive Balance Protocol). Support products are recommended as needed based on the patient’s condition. Enzyme therapy can be used safely in conjunction with other medical therapies.
